Clarke Chronicler's Resurrection

 With  the  weather  still  dry  after  returning  from  church, we  decided  to  head  for  Haigh  Park  and  a  game  of  adventure  golf. As  we  approached  the  park, the  heavens  opened.  After  parking  up  we  decided  it  was  better  to  head  for  lunch  at  the  Courtyard  Cafe  first.  After  a  pretty  ordinary  lunch  we  visited  the  Stables  Gallery  which  detained  us  for  all  of  two  minutes.  We  then  spent  some  time  under  a  large  canopy  in  the  courtyard.   It  was  still  teeming  as  we  went  across to  the  golf  club  h...

With  the  next  Saturday  being  Christmas  Day  and  the  following  day  having  no  public  transport  we  postponed  the  next  trip  to  the  Monday. I  decided  to  continue  our  filming  along  the  river  Irwell  from  Stubbins  down  to  Summerseat. Having  checked  with  the  Corner  Shop,  we  parked  in  the  small  car  park  to  its  side.
