A  dreadful  start  to  the  morning  meant  taking  the  bad  weather  option  of  going  to  Mancheser. The  main  point  of  the  excursion  was  to  get  Simon  some  walking  trousers   as  the  recent  poor  weather  on  our  walks  had  exposed  how  poor  a  choice  jeans  were. We  therefore  headed  straight  for  Blacks  where  we  eventually  found  a  good  pair  in  the  sale  and  were  able  to  get  a  Ramblers   discount  on  top  of  that.. I  chose  the  "Upper  Ryburn  Valley"  walk  from  Paul  Hannon's  book  for  the  next  trip. I  suggested  we  might  invite  our  friends  from  Rochdale, Mark  and  Philip, but  Simon  didn't  like  the  idea. I  didn't  think  about  a  bad  weather  alternative  so  when  we  got  up  and  it  was  raining  hard, I  was  a  bit  stumped. Simon  wanted to  return  to  Leeds . I  suggested  that  we  merge  it  with  a  trip  that  I  wanted  to  to  Huddersfield  to  take  in  the  nearest  surviving  Wimpy  Bar  in  Huddersfield. To  celebrate  a  significant  lifting  of  lockdown  restrictions, we  decided  to  make  a  weekend  of  it  with  our  usual  walk  from  the  Paul  Hannon  book  followed  by  a  stay  in  Leeds.
