A dreadful start to the morning meant taking the bad weather option of going to Mancheser.
The main point of the excursion was to get Simon some walking trousers as the recent poor weather on our walks had exposed how poor a choice jeans were. We therefore headed straight for Blacks where we eventually found a good pair in the sale and were able to get a Ramblers discount on top of that..
Our next port of call was Waterstones where I had another token to spend. Simon was thirsty so we went to the cafe there. Simon ordered a fruit tea which he then didn't like so we ended up swapping drinks. I noticed another customer had left his walking stick behind. Simon had clocked him and managed to find him elsewhere in the shop.
.
We moved on to Central Library but it was closed. We then hopped on to a tram to Exchange Square and walked into The Printworks for lunch at Peachy Keens. It's still an all you can eat buffet but the choice is restricted and you have to be served the food which does make you feel a bit self-conscious about how much you're eating. Despite this, I still managed to make myself feel ill for the rest of the trip.
After lunch we went looking for CEX but they didn't do music CDs so we moved on to HMV where Simon bought a Gorillaz CD. We then moved on to the Cathderal where I was glad of the chance to sit down and rest. Simon lit a candle there.
After we left there, I was still feeling ropey so we had a sit on the grass outside Urbis.
After around 15 minutes there, we decided to head for the train home and were just in time to catch one.
Great as always
