85 Saturday 18 September 2021 Ribblesdale
I'll have to be careful here as this week's trip involved a visit to friends who don't wish to engage in social media and their privacy must be respected. We'd seen them on holiday and they invited us over to see some ducklings they'd reared in their cottage in the Yorkshire Dales. We had a mid-morning break at Pendle Heritage Centre.
We had a breif look at the gardens before continuing on our way.
We  arrived  at  the  cottage  around  11-30am
We  were  introduced  to  the  ducklings  straight  away.
We  then  set  off  on  a  little walk. There  was  an  excellent  view  of  Pen-y-Ghent
We  were  nearer  to  Ingleborough.
We  passed  some  docile  cattle.
Our  leader  went  a bit  wrong  and  we  ended up  having  to  climb over  a  high  wall  but  eventually  we  got  back  to  Sulber  Nick.
We  returned  to  the  cottage  for  a  barbecue   which  we  ate  in  the  dark. We  set  off  for  home  at  9pm , arriving  back  around  10.30pm.
