152 Saturday 17th December 2022 Dick Hudson's and Cliffe Castle
This was meant to be a footballing trip to Bradford meeting up with our friends at Dick Hudson's for a meal beforehand which we had booked. Unfortunately, the bad weather meant a pitch inspection which took place mid-morning. We waited at home for the decision which was negative. Our friends pulled out but I said Simon and I would still travel to Dick Hudson's to save everyone's deposits.
We were now a bit pushed to make our booked time and what made things worse was that the roads were full of salt which was making the windscreen filthy and the jets weren#t working. We eventually had to stop in Bingley so I could buy some dusters and a bottle of water and clean it manually. It was drizzling as we arrived at Dick Hudson's but I was relieved just to get there in one piece.
The view from the pub was still tremendous.
They didn't mind us being late and we got a good seat near the fire. The food was fine as ever.
With no football to go to we decided to visit Cliffe Castle, the museum in Keighley.
