Clarke Chronicler's Resurrection

 I  was  hoping  to  do  a  walk  but  the  weather looked  a  bit  uncertain so  I  opted  for  Knaresborough , primarily  to  film  our  next  castle. Apart  from  a  brief  visit  to  a  pub  before football  in  Harrogate, it  was  my  first  visit  to  the  town  since  1976. We  drove  to  Todmorden  and  caught  the  train  to  Leeds  from  there. While  waiting  for  the  train  to  Knaresborough  I  noted  the  very  odd  sight  of  Platform  0b  which  wasn't  there  when  I  was  a  student  in  Leeds.  For  our  next  weekend  away, we  chose  Ravenstor  YHA in  the  Peak  District.. The  hostel  is  situated in  the  coutryside  east  of  Buxton.  We  had  tea  at  home  before  setting  off.  We  made  a  few  wrong  turns  but  eventually  found  it. Richard, the  Australian  warden  was  very  friendly. After  settling  into  our  room, we  watched a  Peter  Kay  Live  DVD  in  the  common  room. The  next  morning  we  had  breakfast  at  the  hostel  then  had  a  short  walk  around  the  grounds  before  catching  the  bus  into  Buxton. We  had  a  longer  than  expected...
