212 Sunday April 8 2024 Leyland Commercial Vehicles Museum

This  was  Simon's  choice  of  trip. We'd  passed  the  museum  on  the  way  to  Worden  Park  the  previous  Sunday.

This  ice  cream  van  wasn't  serving.

This  was  the  Popemobile used  by  His  Holiness  when  he  came  to  Manchester in  1982.

Simon   took  advantage  of  the  seating  inside.

These  pictures  were  in  a  small  mobile  cinema.

It  made  me  realise  how  long  the  Michelin  man  had  been  around.

Simon  liked  this  one.

I've  never  seen  one  like  this  on  the  road.

I  liked  this  vintage  milk  van  from  the  Dales.

The  little  train  layout  seemed  slighty  out  of  place.

There  were  a  few  vehicles  that  you  were  allowed  to  enter  such  as  this  bus.

I  took  a  funny  turn  in  a  vintage  ambulance ( only joking )

This  was  a  military  vehicle  from  WWI

Our  tour  of  the  museum ended  with  a  look  at  this  steam  traction  engine.

Afer  that  we  had  lunch  in the  Heritage  Tea Room  which  is  worth  a  visit  in  its  own  right. We  then  drove  home.
