223 Saturday 22 June 2024 Wild exhibition, Manchester

This  was  Simon's  choice, a  return  to Manchester Museum  to  view  an  exhibition  on  the  concept  of  re-wilding. We  took  a  train  to  Manchester  Oxford Road  and  walked  from  there, buying  a  drink along  the  way.

Some  of  the  exhibition  was  interactive.

Some  of  it  was  a  bit  childish.

I  think  the  bison  was  making  a  point  about  extinction.

All  in  all, the  exhibition  seemed  a  bit  of  a  hotch-potch  of  ideas  without  a  strong  unifying  theme. Afterwards  we  went  for  a  look  around  the  vivarium  where  I  was  pleased  to  see  a  caecilian  for  the  first  time.

After  that  we  had  lunch  at  Pizza  Hut  before  moving  on  to  the  Arndale  Centre  to  get  Simon  some  new  shoes  and  me  a  new  pair  of  jeans.

Then  we  went  home.
