86 Sunday 26 September 2021 Manchester Art Gallery
Simon chose to switch his trip to Sunday to avoid being restricted by football. He chose Manchester Art Gallery. We got there just before mid-day. We moved into the first gallery where Simon was immediately invited to join in a game of three-way table tennis with two nice Asian guys.
There was one other family in the room.
Before leaving that gallery, we admired this picture of a sleeping lion.
We also liked this one about Napoleon's retreat from Moscow.
I liked this interactive piece about being interviewed but I don't think Simon treally got it.
He soon found a sculpture he liked.
We went to Wetherspoon's for lunch. There was a restricted menu but we found stuff we liked. We had to endure some prat entertaining his female companions with details of his sex life on the next table.
The rest of the trip was a bit of a fiasco, We decided to go to a miniature railway in Irlam but I misread the timetable and there were no trains to Chassen Road on a Sunday. We eventually realised that and decided to head to Hazel Grove and walk to another one but the train was delayed and we realised we'd never get there before it closed at 4. We had a bit of a wait for the next train.
There's nothing else to report.
