This was Simon's choice - a trip to Hebden Bridge, specifically to the Picture House to view Jurassic World : Dominion.
We went by train and had plenty of time to look round before the film started.
We walked through Calder Homes Park then had some breakfast in the cafe opposite the main bus stop which has gone a little more upmarket since the 1970s.
After that we had a look round the various little art galleries, At one , we noticed a girl who'd got on the train at Bromley Cross. Simon was amazed at the prices being asked for what looked like primary school artwork. Here are a couple of examples.
We did see some better stuff.
We got some toffees to eat in the splendidly old-fashioned cinema. I didn't think much of the film; The dinosaurs seemed like they were incidental to an over-complicated plot about genetic manipulation, only there to wake the audience up periodically but Simon seemed to be staisfied with it.
We had a bit of a wait at Blackburn for our second train so we did a bit of shopping at Morrison's first.
