Clarke Chronicler's Resurrection

This  is  a  lesson  to  keep  this  blog  up  to  date.   From  electronic  records , I  can  see  that  we  went  to  The  Village  Store  in  Stubbins  and  collected  a  takeaway  from  the  China  Cottage  in  Ramsbottom  on  the  way  back  but  otherwise  I've  no  idea  what  the  trip  was  as  neither  of  us  seem  to  have  taken  any  photographs.

 This  was  Simon's  choice, a  visit  to  the  Manor  Heat  Jungle  Experience  in  Halifax. Molly  came  along  with  us. We  encountered  an  immediate  disappointment  when  we  got  to  the  park  and  found  that  the  attraction  was  closed. The  internet  had  given  us  no  warning  of  this.  Simon  and  Molly  exorcised  their  disappointment  in  the  play park. We  decided  then  to  move  on  to  Piece  Hall, the  object  of  many  trips  in  the  "classic" LTS  era.  This  was  my  choice,  a   short  walk  around  Worsthorne  and  Harwood  taking  in  the  church  tea  rooms  at  Hurstwood. We  drove  to  Worsthone  and  parked  in  the main  square. We  headed  up  Gorple  Gate  which  starts  out  as  a  tarmac  road. This  is  looking  back  towards  Burnley. This  is looking  ahead  towards  the  moors.   Finding  reasonably  priced  accommodation  in  July  isn't  easy  so  we  were off  to  Barrow  once  more  for  our  weekend  away. This  time  we  stayed  at  The  Lodge  which  proved  perfectkly  adequate  for  our  needs. We  particularly  enjoyed  the  free  pool  table. On  the Saturday  morning  we  went  for  breakfast  at  Wetherspoon's.
