148 Sunday 13th November 2022 Manchester Vue Cinema
Simon wanted to see a film so chose a trip to Manchester's Vue Cinema. The film we chose was the relatively mild horror thriller Prey for the Devil.
We got there in plenty of time so decided to visit the Little Gem church. On the way we passed a building site where Simon spotted some interesting detail on the hoardings.
We soon got to the church which fortunately was between services.
Simon was very impressed with the interior though not so much the modern art stations of the cross which fit in like a stone in a shoe. A church attendant confessed that he didn't like them either.
After that , we went for lunch at Frankie and Bennys to take advantage of the 25% NHS discount only to be told it wasn't available on Event days and there was something on at the Manchester Arena. I told them we'd go to Wetherspoons instead and walked out. We had lunch at The Seven Stars. Someone upstairs was kicking off and eventually got taken off by the police.
We went to the Vue for the film. It was alright; I don't think Simon was particularly impressed.
After it finished we went home.
