163 Sunday 5 March 2023 Manchester Museum

This  was  a  long  deferred  trip  because  the  Museum  had  been  closed  for  renovation  for  some  time. Julie  came  along  on  this  one  to  see  the  special  Egyptian  exhibition. We  didn't  anticipate  that  there'd  be quite  a  queue to  get in.

We  eventually  got  in  and  looked  round  the  mummies. The  numbers  inside  made  it  a  less  relaxed  experience  than  it  should  have  been.

After  that, we  explored  the  permanent  exhibits, particularly  the  natural  history  section.

I  was  pleased  to  see  some  old  favourites  like  the  whale  skeleton  remained.

Simon  enjoyed  the  dinosaur  section.

After  that, we  went  to  KFC  for  some  tea  before  taking  the  train  home.
