Clarke Chronicler's Resurrection

  This  trip  was  planned  a  few  weeks  in  advance,  combining  an  ascent  of  Pen-y-Ghent with  a  visit  to  our  friends  in  Selside. Julie  came  with  us  on  this  one. We   drove  up  to  Selside  stopping  for  some  breakfast  at  Pendle  Heritage  Centre  en  route.  For  this  weekend, we  trawled  the  YHA  website  to  find  the  best  offer  and  it  turned  out  to  be  Chester  Trafford  once  more. It  was  a  lovely  afternoon  and  we  got  there  in  good  time. After  chilling  out  for  half  an  hour,  we  went  out  to  play  chess  in  the  garden. I  won.  Simon  wanted  to  do  a  short  walk  so I  chose  one  from  a  book  of  walks  in  the  Peak  District  starting  from  Glossop  which  I  hadn't  visited  before.  We  had  a  bit of  a  wait  for  a  train  in   Manchster  so  had  a  bite  to  eat  there  first.
