178 Sunday 18 June 2023 Heptonstall
This was Simon's choice, a trip to the museum at Heptonstall. I had visited the museum once before in 1979 and knew there wasn't that much to see but went along with it anyway.
We took the train to Hebden Bridge. There was a brass band festival in the town that day.
We went over the old packhorse bridge.
I  wasn't  wrong.
The  second  part  up  the  steps  is  no  easier.
It's  now  run  by  a  volunteer  trust  rather  than  the  council. There  was  even  less  to  see  than  usual  beause  the  building  was  being  used  as  a  set  for  the  drama  serial  Gallow's  Pole  and  the  uisual  exhibits  had  been  moved  into  storage. I  felt  this  should  have  been  reflected in  the  admission  price.
Simon enjoyed  dressing  up  as  uasual.
I  liked  this   map  chair .
Afer  that  we  walked  down  the  main  street.
We  then  retraced  our  steps  back  to  the  station.
