Clarke Chronicler's Resurrection

 This  trip was  decided  for  us as  Julie  had  booked  us  in  for  another  weekend  at  Green  View  Lodges. We  drove  up on  the  Friday stopping  at  Burton  for  something  to  eat. On  the  Saturday morning  we  went  out  to  see  the  goats  in  their  adjacent paddock. They  were  friendly.  For  this  one,  we  decided  to  join  our  friends  in  the  Hike  On  Lancashire  Group  for  a  breakfast  walk  in  Burnley. I  wasn't  leading  this one. It  started  from  the  Queen  Victoria  pub  adjacent  to  Thompson Park. The  breakfast  was  fine. I  didn't  recognise  too  many  of  the  other  participants.  I  was  a  bit  lazy  with  the  camera  for  this  one  so  apologies.  This  was  an  eventful weekend to  say  the  least. Reliably,  Burton's  Travelodge  was  cheap  so  that  was  our  pick  agaiin. I  had  noticed  some  noises  coming from  underneath  the  car  but  wanted  to  get  to  pay  day  before  taking it  in. It  was  OK  till  we  got  to  the  slip  road  for  the  M6  then  the  steering  started  to  wobble. I  thought  I  might  have  popped  a  tyre  so  I  pulled  on  to  the  hard  shoulder and  called  the  RAC.  This  was  Simon's  choice, a  return  to  Liverpool for  the  Museum  of Liverpool on  the  waterfront. We  were  out  for  longer  than  anticipated. First , when  we  got  into  Bolton, we  had  a  long  wait  for  the  rail  replacement  bus  to Wigan   so  we  went  to  the   Bolton  FM  ( where  we're  volunteer presenters ) offices  to  keep  warm  and  have  a  brew.
