Clarke Chronicler's Resurrection

 Simon  wanted  to  do  a  sightseeing  trip  and  chose  Sea  Life, Manchester  which  is  in  The  Trafford  Centre.  I  didn't  realise  there  was  an  Express  service  and  assumed  we'd  be  taking  the  stopping  bus  which  takes  over  an  hour.  On  the  previous  Friday, Simon  and  I  did  a   sometimes  arduous  6  mile  walk  in  Calderdale  in  the  heat so  we  decided  to  take  an  easier  option  on  the  Saturday  and  returned  to  the  Leeds-Liverpool  canal.  We  were  going  to  Buxton  but  Poole's  Cavern  was  all  booked  up. There  was  space  available  at  Treak  Cliff  Cavern, Castleton  so  we  chose  to  go  there  instead. We  bought  GM  Wayfarer  tickets  as these  are  eligible  for  travel  to  Hope.  With  restrictions  on  overnight  stays  lifted, I  chose  the  cheapest  option, two  nights  in  the  Travelodge  at  Woolley  Edge  services  ( southbound ) on  the  M1. This  allowed  filming  at  two  Yorkshire  castles. We  set  off  about  an  hour  after  Simon  returned  from  school.
