Clarke Chronicler's Resurrection

  Seasonal  pricing  meant  another  visit  to  Barrow  was  the  most  affordable  option  for  our  next  weekend  away. We  stayed  at  The  Lodge  Guest House  again. We  had  breakfast at  Wetherspoon's  then  drove  over  to  Walney  Island  for  a  walk  on  the  northern  end  of  the  island.  This  was  my  choice  and  followed  on  from  a  walk  at  Easter  where  we'd  gone  to  Windermere  and  one  of   the  trains  was  cancelled. We  got  a  full  refund  of  the  ticket  price  so  decided  to  head  out  there  again. As  it  was  nearly  lunch  time  by  the  time  we  arrived  in  Windermere we  had  something  to  eat  first. We found  a  nice  cafe.  This  was  Simon's  choice, a  trip to  the  museum  at  Heptonstall.  I  had  visited the  museum once  before  in  1979 and  knew  there  wasn't  that  much  to  see  but  went  along  with  it  anyway.
