Clarke Chronicler's Resurrection

Despite  the  uncertain  weather  we  set  out  for  another  walk  from the Paul  Hannon  book. We  stopped  at  the  Corner  Shop,Stubbins  to  get  a  drink  and  Simon  had a  sausage  muffin. We  parked  at  Pecket  Well  using  the  pub  car  park  with  the  landlord's  permission,to avoid  the  NT  charges  at Midgehole.  We  waited  until a  shower  passed  before  setting  out. Another  lovely  day  and  another  walk  from  the  Paul Hannon book. This  one  started from  the  car  park  at  Lobb Mill  picnic  site  a  mile  or so  out  of  Todmorden. Just  beyond  is  another layby  with  a  snack van  operated  by  a  lady  called  Katie. Simon had  a  cheeseburger  and  I  had  a  Steak  Canadian. I  picked  one  of   the  walks  nearest  Todmorden  so  we  could  explore  Todmorden  market afterwards. We  parked  up at  Lydgate  near  the  post  office. We  were  immediately  disappointed  to  find  it  wasn't  open. However,  a   poor  weather  forecast  led  me  to  suggest  we  did  a  more  wooded  walk  instead  to  which  Simon  agreed. Therefore  we  headed  to  Hardcastle  Crags.
