Clarke Chronicler's Resurrection

 This  was  another  football  weekend.  We  were  going  to  stay  at  an  airbandb place  but   they  said  they  couldn't  get  the  room  ready  on  time. I  suspect  my  mentioning  football  might  have  put  them  off. We  then  looked  at  Travelodge  but  there  was  a  private  provider  only  charging £1  more  so  we  went  there instead.  Molly  joined  us  again for  our  next  trip, Simon's  choice  of  Towneley  Hall , Burnley. we  parked  near  the  bottom  of  the  park  at  the  Burnley  end. Simon  and  Molly  went  looking  for  a  tree  to  climb  but  didn't  find  one. We  walked  up  the  long  drive  to  the  Hall.  We  went  into  the  Museum. They  didn't  charge  for  Simon  and  Molly.  There  was  a  mummy. I  loved  the  stuffed  otter  in  the  wildlife  section. I  also  liked  the  bear.  Simon  wanted  to  do so  more  boating so  we  headed  for  Fairhaven  Lake between  Lytham and St Anne's. We  caught  the  train  to  Blackburn  noting  runners  heading  for  Manchester  on  the  opposite  platform. We  changed  at  Blackburn  for  the  Blackpool  South  train, alighting  at  the now  rather  forlorn  Ansdell  and  Fairhaven  station.  Our  next  trip  was  another  visit  to  Bradford  to  coincide  with  the  football  fixture. We  set  off  shortly  after  Simon  finished  school  and  stopped  for  tea  at  a  chip  shop  in  Ramsbottom.  That  was  good  and  we  then  had  an  uneventful  journey  before  arriving once  again  at  the  Ibis  in  Bradford.  We  had  a  slightly  bigger  room  this  time  round.  Simon  chose  to  switch  his  trip  to  Sunday  to  avoid  being  restricted  by  football. He  chose  Manchester  Art  Gallery. We  got  there  just  before  mid-day. We  moved  into  the  first  gallery  where  Simon  was  immediately  invited  to  join  in  a  game  of  three-way  table  tennis  with  two  nice  Asian  guys.
